Naz Deen has over 20 years of experience working and mentoring in the Sports Development, Youth, Charity and Voluntary Sector as well as schools and further education settings too.

His passion lies in sport for social change and creating pathways for all individuals to enjoy and excel in sport and exercise from grassroots to elite level. Naz’s current role as the Head of Youth and Sport for a Children’s Charity based in central London has seen him strategically tackle racism, inequality, bullying, gang-affected young people experiencing trauma, obesity, mental health, class divide and the effects of gentrification on communities in London.

He is an International Tour Leader for the Charity Tag Rugby Trust and has coordinated several expeditions for disadvantaged young people from the U.K to Africa in countries such as Zambia, Namibia and Zimbabwe, volunteering in impoverished communities to make a positive difference.

Naz also graduated from the Sporting Equals LeaderBoard Academy and is incredibly excited to add value to the Sporting Equals team with his passion, knowledge and experience.
