Lorraine Deschamps MBE

Trustee

Lorraine is a Co-Founder and Trustee of Sporting Equals with a unique cross-cultural perspective, having been educated on three different continents. Born in Kenya, she spent her early childhood in East Africa, her teenage years in Brazil, and pursued her college and university education in the UK, where she currently resides.

As the EMEA Head of Corporate Social Responsibility at Fiserv (a global fintech company), Lorraine plays a pivotal role. She spearheads regional Diversity, Equity & Inclusion strategies, oversees philanthropy efforts, engages with communities, and champions sustainability initiatives.

Her extensive private sector experience spans various domains including D&I, Talent Development, Performance Consulting, Learning & Development, and Sales & Sales Training.

Beyond her professional endeavours, Lorraine’s passion for football (acquired during her time in Brazil) led her to become a grassroots Club Secretary and eventually a referee in Men’s semi-professional football and what was then the Women’s Premier League. In 2015, she took on a crucial role – facilitating diversity training for football’s PGMOL (Professional Game Match Officials) to combat racist behaviour before, during, and after matches. To this day Lorraine remains active in refereeing and referee development at the county level.

As a founding director of Sporting Equals, Lorraine has been instrumental in its growth and success. Her unwavering commitment to sports and diversity earned her an MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) in 2012. Currently, she is completing her third and final term as a non-executive director and trustee of Sporting Equals.
